Average hotel all around, but below average for my expectations of the Hilton chain. Comfortable room, standard amenities, and everything worked as it should. The pantry is stocked as one would expect, for a Hilton. That is where the nice comments end. The A/C unit was rediculously noisy/rattled. Doubletree has now changed the cookie recipe and "Orignal" now contains nuts. They're brekfast costs $13.55 but, if you're a Diamond status, you are comp'd for it out of your credit. HOWEVER, they force gratuity you for $2.25 every meal, and you don't even get notified or to sign for it. The meal itself is as generic hotel breakfast as they come, the menu doesn't change from day to day. They only have 1 coffee pot out so, if the 'restaurant' is crowded, good luck getting a cup of coffee. The front desk staff was pleasant but the restaurant staff never spoke to me at all, not even to greet me. 2 times, in a 4 day stay- housekeeping walked into my room without knocking. The parking lot spaces are very small, and the lot itself is undersized for the hotel, so you may not get a spot or someone may ding your vehicle. All in all... it is exactly the kind of hotel you would expect for Atlanta, but not for Dunwoody or Hilton. I expect better.

When we arrived we were able to check in early. It was a young lady whom checked us in whom was sweet. We got our room which was on the first floor and the room was nice. The shower was smaller than what we are use too at least to us. There was a vent that seem liked it was broken into but it didn't bother us. To confirm the other reviewers, yes the air conditioner was loud but not excessive, think of an old radiator in the winter time warming up. It was very quiet stay that we experienced. We only stayed for the weekend. We did have housekeeping come in and tidy up which was surprising to us since we were on a short stay but were happy about it. The dining spot they had called "Southern Grove", their dinner meal was great. We had a flat bread and pasta primavera with shrimp both delicious. The drinks were good. We ate breakfast once and it wasn't to our liking. Overall we had a good stay and no complaints here.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The front desk staff lacked a poker face and displayed poor attitudes. Despite being a Diamond member, I received no benefits such as upgrades, complimentary water, or late check-out. Additionally, the air conditioner was excessively loud.

The young man that check me in was very accommodating. He made sure I had my complimentary water and cookies. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful. The room was nice, but the hotel is old. The bathroom was remodeled, but rest of the room wasn't. The air conditioning unit was loud. You had to tune the noise out. Will not stay at that location ever.

My stay at this hotel was awful. I had to change the room three times. The first room had something black all around the vent and on the ceiling. The second room the same. There was an awful smell throughout the hallway on the three floors that I visit. I remembered afterwards that they had a ceiling leak the last time I stayed and had to switch rooms. Once the rest of my family arrived and I went to visit them they explained that they had to switch rooms to do to a moldy smell in the perious room. I stayed at the facility in the pass and did not have such a traumatic experience. The third room wasn't great but at least the ceiling weren't black nor water leaks. This will be my last stay at The Double Tree by Hilton in Chamblee Dunwoody, Georgia 😢👎
